[Though he doesn't know about orbments, when he sees the different-colored gems in the slots, he gets the feeling he understands. The different colors probably mean different elements. He nods at the explanation.]
I see... Yeah, I can't use magic, since I'm human. Elves and half-elves are born with the ability to use magic, and besides them, monsters and Spirits and other beings like them can also use magic, since they're made from Mana, which is the power source of magic back home. But... I guess humans can borrow the powers of Spirits to use something like magic, like, by Summoning them. I don't really know how that works, though...
[Oh, he made her laugh! Emil smiles, proud of himself.] Heheh, I bet. [Speaking of food, Emil spots some tuna swimming around. That looks delicious... is something he probably shouldn't say in an aquarium, so he holds back.]
Lazy and reliable...? [That seems strange, but... Emil has met stranger people.] Is she the type of person that's reliable when it really counts, then? Maybe she wants to rely on her partner on small things... Or maybe I'm reading too much into it... [If Marta decided to act lazy, he feels like something like that would be the reason...]
I think you'd probably get along! Marta's easy to like. [When she's not getting territorial over Emil talking to cute girls, at least. That would probably happen, now that he thinks about it...]
If she was here, maybe she'd be acting just like me. Running around and accidentally running people over, haha... [He gives a self-deprecating laugh. But, one thing Agnès mentioned about Feri really stands out.] On the battlefield...? Um, i-is it okay to ask why?
((ooc: So, in order to figure out what Emil knows about magic and what he doesn't, I went on a wiki dive and had to totally change what I was going to have him say... In honor of that, here's some trivia! There's a thing called Divine Power in Emil's world that lets humans use magic-like healing arts! I always assumed Marta used it since she has healing artes, but apparently according to a japanese guide book, Marta can use magic despite being human thanks to borrowing the power of a Spirit... And that's how I found out there's no proof of Divine Power users existing at the point in history Emil is from and he likely wouldn't know about them u_u))
